Methodology
How this was measured
Fetched each of the 35 public SEO and web-performance guide articles from software vendors and developer publications and counted the pages whose first body paragraph runs under 80 words and repeats a distinctive word from the page's own H1 — an answer up front rather than a preamble.
One observation: Whether the page's first body paragraph is short and repeats a distinctive word from its own H1.
How the cohort was chosen: Hand-curated 2026-09-04. Every URL was fetched once with this app's own Kinetix-Auditor/1.0 user agent on 2026-09-04 and confirmed to return HTTP 200 with an H1 — no URL is listed that was not verified to resolve. Each is a public, indexable explainer or how-to article on a vendor blog, a documentation site, or a developer publication; one URL per host, no customer data and no private endpoint involved.
Every request was a single polite fetch per site with a short timeout and no retries. Only aggregate counts are published — no per-site result.
Limitations
What this figure does not tell you
- The cohort is a named, hand-curated list, not a random sample of the web. The share describes these sites, not every site.
- It is one measurement on the date shown. Any site can change its setup the next day.
- 4 of the 39 listed URLs could not be reached or read on the day and were left out of the sample rather than counted either way.
- This is a mechanical proxy for an answer-first opening, not an editorial judgement of whether the paragraph answers the question well. Pages with no H1 or no readable body paragraph were excluded rather than counted.
