- No. We only fetch and read your page's public HTML — there is no CMS plugin, login, or write access anywhere in the product. Every fix is copy-paste text or a code snippet that you apply yourself.
- What does the free check include?
- Your full SEO health score and GEO readiness score, every finding we discovered — title, severity, and impact-vs-effort ranking — plus the complete tailored fixes for your top-priority findings (up to three), unlocked. The remaining tailored fixes are part of a paid analysis. The report gets a shareable link, and none of it needs a signup or an email address.
- How long does a scan take?
- Typically a few minutes. We fetch and render your live page, run the checks against the real HTML, headers, and DNS, and measure performance — so the exact time depends mostly on how fast your page responds.
- What is one Kinetix Credit?
- One Kinetix Credit = one complete analysis for one URL — the audit, the page-specific fixes, the GEO score, and the one included re-scan that verifies your fixes went live, all in a single Kinetix Credit.
- How does KinetixSEO prove a fix actually worked?
- Each paid analysis includes one re-scan. After you apply the fixes, it re-checks each one against the finding it was meant to clear and reports the outcome — verified, not-applied, or regressed. It's a single, deterministic re-scan per analysis, not continuous monitoring.
- Do unused Kinetix Credits roll over?

- Does monitoring use my Kinetix Credits?
- No. Rank and keyword tracking run continuously on your subscription, and AI-citation monitoring draws from a separate monthly allowance that's included with your plan — if that allowance runs out it simply pauses until your next renewal. - What is GEO readiness?
- Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO) — also called Answer Engine Optimisation (AEO) in the industry, the two terms overlap heavily — measures how likely AI search engines (ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity) and Google AI Overviews are to cite your content as a source. As AI-driven search takes over traditional SERP, this score matters as much as classic SEO.
- How is this different from Semrush or Ahrefs?
- Semrush and Ahrefs tell you what keywords you rank for and where your backlinks come from — great for tracking. We tell you what is wrong today and give you the exact replacement copy to fix it. Two different problems, two different tools.
- Do you check llms.txt and whether AI crawlers can even reach my site?
- Yes. Every scan validates your llms.txt file against the current spec, checks it against your sitemap for broken links, and identifies exactly which AI crawlers — search-and-cite bots like OAI-SearchBot and PerplexityBot, training bots like GPTBot, and live-fetch bots like ChatGPT-User — are blocked by your robots.txt, since blocking a citation bot is a materially bigger problem than blocking a training-only one.
- Can KinetixSEO generate my llms.txt for me?
- Yes — the llms.txt Generator writes a spec-compliant llms.txt and llms-full.txt for your domain, on demand. Each generation draws from your Kinetix Credit balance (the same pool used for page analyses, GEO sweeps, and everything else), so a subscription plan or a pay-once top-up both work. That's separate from the llms.txt validation every scan already runs.
- Why should I trust these recommendations?
- Every finding is produced by deterministic, rule-based checks against your page's actual HTML, headers, and measured performance data — not a black-box AI opinion. Content-level trust is scored from real signals (author attribution, cited sources, organisation schema) via an E-E-A-T model, and health/legal/financial content is held to a stricter bar automatically. - Will this work with WordPress, Shopify, Webflow, and custom sites?
- Yes. The audit works purely from the rendered HTML, HTTP headers, and files (robots.txt, sitemap.xml, llms.txt) your URL returns, so it's platform-agnostic — WordPress, Shopify, Webflow, Wix, or a fully custom stack all get scanned the same way. We even detect and report which platform you're on as one of the checks.
- How is this different from a free Lighthouse report?
- Lighthouse measures performance and accessibility mechanics. We check that too, but also run content quality, on-page SEO, schema, trust/E-E-A-T, and AI-citation readiness — and every finding gets AI-written replacement copy, not just a number. Lighthouse tells you the score; we write the fix.
- Do I need SEO knowledge?
- No. Every issue is explained in plain language, tagged CRITICAL or WARNING, ranked by real impact vs. effort, and paired with a ready-to-paste fix or code snippet — you act on it without needing to interpret jargon first.
- How current is the AI citation data?
- Each AI Citation Tracking check is a live call to that AI provider at the moment it runs — not a cached or historical index — so it reflects what the model says right now. The GEO Readiness score (structural, not a live model call) is recalculated fresh from your page's current markup on every scan too.
- Can the product guarantee higher rankings?
- No — our Terms say this plainly (§6.2): we measure readiness, not outcomes. We don't control Google's, ChatGPT's, or any other platform's ranking or citation algorithm, so nobody can honestly guarantee a specific ranking, citation, or traffic result.
- Does keyword research cost credits?
- Barely. Seed keywords in, keyword plan out — search demand, SERP competition, a primary keyword and ranked secondary keywords — for a small fraction of a Kinetix Credit (about 20 searches per credit), refunded automatically if the search fails. Writing the landing page from that plan is the part that spends a full credit.
- Is my submitted URL or report public?
- Free checks (/seo-check) get a shareable link, saved for a limited retention window (90 days by default, or 36 hours if you opt out of longer retention) — treat it as public while it's live, since anyone who has the link can view it (see our Privacy Policy §2.2). Scans run from your logged-in dashboard are private to your account.
- What data is stored?

- Can agencies brand or export reports?
- Not yet as something you can do yourself from your dashboard — there's no self-serve white-labeling or PDF export today. Flagged as a possible future feature for agency accounts.
